Bryan Christopher Tan

Bryan Christopher Tan is a Malaysian filmmaker.

Born in Penang, he devotes himself to providing beauty to the world in daring and exciting ways. By telling one-of-a-kind stories and advocating for artistic freedom and expression, he fulfils the pressing need for multicultural empowerment. In addition to film, he also pursues street photography and various forms of writing. Having carried out his studies in Shenzhen, Edinburgh, and Paris, he currently lives in France.

    When we lose someone we love, how do we overcome the ensuing grief? A woman in the infancy of adulthood reflects on the enduring emptiness in her day. A wave of memories — musical, joyful, wonderful — engulfs her. She remembers feeling alive. She has lost someone she loved. But if she wants to survive, she must first learn to take the hardest step of all: acceptance.

    Inspired by the music of Coldplay. An experience between two childhood friends. One has lived in Malaysia all his life, while the other studied abroad. Over a video call on their phones, they share a conversation of a lifetime: a bridge connecting them to each other.

Although dementia mainly affects older people, it is not a normal part of ageing. While there is currently no cure, we can still improve the lives of people with dementia, as well as the lives of their carers and families. This is the story of a survivor.
